Cal and Rez came back again and threw up an even bigger show. Thursday night at the House of Blues, Timeflies took the stage and debuted some new remixes that only they could produce.
They considered themselves home when they preformed in Boston this past week. The two met at Tufts as friends, then, one day while Rez was messing around on his mac, he produced a beat the Cal rapped to just for fun. Since then, the pair have been recording freestyles every week and finally produced a record of their own: The Scotch Tape.
At the show, the two gave it their all. They mixed some new songs together, including the chart topper Gangam Style, originally written and preformed by a former student of our own Boston University.
The crowd was fantastic and Timeflies did a fantastic job of keeping the crowd going. The House of Blues was absolutely packed out, and when the duo ended with their notable Under the Sea remix, the crowd screamed for more.
If the opportunity ever arises to see Timeflies in concert, do not pass it up. The group produces a fantastic show, which is extremely original and insanely fun. They include a mix of their weekly remixes as well as songs from their album out now; The Scotch Tape.
