Alex Hungtai from Dirty Beaches had no reservations about going all out from the very first song, drawing the crowd closer and closer to the stage with each song. A solo project taken on the road with the help of his friends introduced some of his latest creations from a recent album “Badlands,” which highlights recurring themes in his nomadic life. Dirty Beaches filled Brighton Music Hall with lo-fi, distortion-heavy sounds along with his passionate vocals. When Frankie Rose took stage, the pace of the show picked up even more, especially because all members of Dirty Beaches were in the front row rocking out along with the crowd. Feeding off of the excitement built up in the venue, Frankie Rose amplified the energy in the air and gave her eclectic audience another reason to jump higher and sweat harder.
